Sporting Clays Fun Shoot

The summer of training is winding down and hunting season is just around the corner. To help the transition, we thought it would be fun to gather for a friendly round of sporting clays or two at the Waunakee Gun Club this coming Sunday the 28th around 10am until about noon. There is no agenda, just an informal gathering of anyone who might want to get together with NAVHDA training friends and talk about fall hunting plans while brushing up the shooting skills.

If you think you might make it out, send an email to Jacob (jrzeuske@wisc.edu) so we will know to keep an eye out.

Hope to see you there.

We will be hosting a professional trainer on the weekend of July 23rd / 24th to help educate members that are looking to make the jump from Natural Ability dogs into Utility and beyond.

Attendees will be charged a fee to reserve their spot but the details for that are still being figured out. Jacob Zeuske will be sending out more information as details are nailed down.

Handler's Clinic Weekend

We will be hosting a NAVHDA Handler's Clinic on the weekend of June 25th / 26th. This is a great opportunity to learn how NAVHDA testing works and to gain some insight into what judges are looking for in the various tests. Example dogs will be run through mock Natural Ability and Utility Tests to provide you the opportunity to learn from a judge from the judge's perspective.

More information will be coming on this event from Jacob Zeuske (contact info).
